I think like we’re just not educating people in this kind of general way. You should have a pretty broad engineering and scientific background. You should have some leadership training and a bit of MBA training or knowledge of how to run things, organize stuff, and raise money. I don’t think most people are doing that, and it’s a big problem.

Engineers are usually trained in a very fixed area. When you’re able to think about all of these disciplines together, you kind of think differently and can dream of much crazier things and how they might work. I think that’s really an important thing for the world. That’s how we make progress.

“El subdesarrollo de América Latina no es una etapa del desarrollo, es su consecuencia.”

Someday, we could be a shining beacon of hope for the oppressed people of the world just as so many oppressed and violated souls have found refuge here already. Will it happen overnight? No. Will it happen in a lifetime? I don’t know.

Is it worth fighting for until my last breath? Of course. Once you’ve seen what’s possible, how can you do otherwise?.

Maximillian Cohen - Pi(1998):

Restate my assumptions:

  1. Mathematics is the language of nature.

  2. Everything around us can be represented and understood through numbers.

  3. If you graph these numbers, patterns emerge.

Therefore: There are patterns everywhere in nature.

Something’s going on. It has to do with that number. There’s an answer in that number.

Happy Pi Day!!
